Yes, you can paint it using enamel appliance paint (available at a hardware store, common colors are black and white). However, be advised that it is difficult to make it look like an "original" paint finish, and it will be a bit more susceptible to scratches in the finish. You can always spray paint it. They have that type that appears as though it is stainless steel if that's the look you're going for.
