With a covered 2nd level deck. I want to enclose under the deck for storage. Best way to waterproof?
My covered deck is on 2nd level. The roof keeps most of rain and snow off the deck but not all. I want it to be like a storage shed under the deck. It already has 2 concrete walls. I want to enclose the other 2 sides, and make my deck floor the roof for the storage. What's the best way to turn my deck floor into a roof for my storage?
The easiest way to accomplish this is to add a sloped draining layer underneath the deck floor. You want rain or snow to go through the deck floor and then hit this angled roof layer and drain to one side. You could use metal roofing, plastic corrugated panels, or even a piece of plywood with shingles nailed to it.
