how do I solidify a step block into the ground at the bottom of my deck stairwell?
I have 3 step blocks sized 6"H x 16"W x 12" D. I need to put these at the bottom of my deck stairwell about 1" deep into the ground. From these step blocks I plan to install a stone walkway out to a distant patio area. Is there a way solidify these step blocks in this ground so that movement of these blocks is at a minimum, or better yet, no movement? These blocks weigh 92lbs. a piece.
To ensure no movement it would be best to install the steps on a concrete pad. The concrete pad should be treated as a deck post, with one or two concrete piers that goes down into the ground 4 feet.
