What's the best way to fix my grading?

I have a brick, semi-detached house where I need to slope the grade away from the foundation to help keep water away. The front of the house grade is under a covered porch, so I think I'm alright there. The backyard of the house is dirt/grass against the foundation and the driveway against the house is asphalt. What is your suggestion on the best way to slope the grade away from house at the driveway and backyard?

The grade at the front of your house is only OK if no water gets underneath the covered porch. Make sure that surface water is flowing away from the porch. This is most important in the winter when the ground is frozen. You can improve the grade at the back of the house by adding topsoil. This can be done all at once, or topsoil can be added a little at a time, letting the grass grow up through it. Unfortunately, if you're driveway slopes back towards your house, it should be regraded and resurfaced with new asphalt.
