What are the construction specifications for curved treads on stairs?
Curved treads should have:
- Average tread width minimum 9 inches
- Tread width at 12 inches from narrow side of stairs minimum 9 inches (another jurisdiction says the tread width has to be at least 9 inches at the middle of the step)
- Tread width minimum 6 inches at narrowest point
