ManageMyHome.com is designed to give homeowners the best home-care tools and guidance available online. We are currently expanding our team of professional home-care experts. Our experts interact with homeowners by answering questions on home-related topics, blogging and interacting in our forums.

We are looking for experts in:
Carpentry & woodworking, kitchen & countertops, plumbing, home inspection, home structure, walls & ceilings, electrical, flooring, masonry, home exterior, lawn & garden, HVAC, interior design, safety & security, moving, green, real estate, and home finance.

Each expert’s role is built around their professional strengths and interests, and may involve:

Expert Q&A

Manage My Home users are able to ask our experts direct questions about products and projects around their homes. Our experts go beyond basic answers, offering additional insights and suggestions along with the specific answer. Experts can expect a volume of 1-5 questions per day.

Blogging

Manage My Home features a blog that highlights ideas and issues in home care. Experts contribute blog entries centered around their areas of interest. Key areas include green living, home-care tools and techniques, real estate, lawn and garden, home improvement, carpentry and woodworking, and home inspection. Bloggers will contribute two blog posts a week with a minimum 300 words per week.

Community engagement

In addition to answering questions and writing blog entries, experts have the opportunity to engage with customers in other parts of Manage My Home. These interactions should give our customers even more value and encourage increased community participation. There are many places to contribute on Manage My Home including forums, answer conversation threads, and the comment sections for articles.

Guidelines

  • Experts must submit writing samples and demonstrate expertise in their fields
  • Experts must participate in training on the expert admin interface
  • Experts must write using Manage My Home guidelines on tone and style
  • Experts must maintain a high level of quality for each answer, including the use of references and photos, and offering customers with multiple points of view
  • Bloggers are encouraged to maintain their personal tone and style for blog entries
